Original G (2020)
The export company „German Wine Group“ is targeting international markets. Spring 2020 marked the starting signal for the new export brand „Original G“, created by Quantum X and consisting of a base line („German Red“, „German White“, „German Rosé“) and a line of higher-quality grape varieties (Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir und Blanc de Noir).
In order to embed the new wine brand in the minds of the international consumers quickly, we made use of motifs that many people around the world associate most often with Germany: traditional costumes, customs, dirndl and lederhosen are images that are associated almost everywhere with German life and delights.
The designation G-Beauty served not least as inspiration for the branding – a cosmetics buzzword under which German “Doctor Brands” are currently making quite a splash.
The direct relationship to quality was created via authentic persons: the people represented all have a connection with the products whether in viticulture or in the cellar. Quite consciously, therefore, no professional models were used. Quantum X planned, organised and managed the shootings by photographers Peter Bender and Dennis Möbus which, amongst others, took place with friendly support from the amusement park Tripsdrill.
Unfortunately the consumer cannot instantly differentiate between German wines and wines from other countries on the shelves because there is a lack of distinctive unified identifiers. It is precisely this that we wish to change with our new brand ‘ORIGINAL G’.
