Gut Avelsbach

Former state-owned enterprise (2017)

Gut Avelsbach (Avelsback Manor) was established in 1901 as an example facility for viticulture. In the construction of this example business one took great efforts to create the ideal conditions for a winery. The qualitatively best areas, e.g. the Avelsbacher Hammerstein, are still cultivated until today.

In 2016 Gut Avelsbach was taken over by DRK-Sozialwerk Bernkastel-Wittlich (German Red Cross institution), a facility for disabled people in Bernkastel-Kues. Quantum X was to develop a new overall appearance for the former state-owned enterprise without explicitly mentioning the German Red Cross and the social aspect.

Above all the imposing buildings, with their typical fin-de-siecle castle-like character, have left us with a lasting impression. Along with the many original cast iron elements they were a parent for market development, fixtures and accompanying media.
